Look-A-Like Meter

I stumbled across this interesting website where you can do some extra cool stuff like see which celebrities you look like, create a family tree, and of all things see who your child resembles most. Supposedly, they use face recognition technology. As you can see from the results, I find it to be a crock. Anyone that knows my son and my husband will confirm that the resemblance between the two is blatently obvious. Yet, this says LJ looks more like me...HUH???? Plus, it says LJ resembles me more than LK! Next time, I am going to use different pictures and see what happens. It was kinda fun to do though! I am definitely not complaining about the celebrities they chose! I hope all my bloggin' buddies will do this so I can see what celebrities you look like!

Sunday Notes..

Unfortunately, this bouquet is NOT from my garden. We actually picked them up at the market yesterday. We are lucky enough to live close enough to walk to the local farmer's market. We usually make a wagon ride of it...whenever I remember it is going on. Or course, LnL have to get a few treats while we are there as well. They usually end up munching apples on the ride home.

I spent the whole weekend cuddling and playing with my kiddos b/c I missed them badly throughout the week! Plus, LJ was feeling a little under the weather and needed lots of attention. I am just now getting around to working on some lesson plans for the week. As some of you know...I'm a little out of my element this year with my classes. Teaching 4 sections of video editing and one drama. These are not my usual business courses. The first week I enjoyed my classes...especially drama!

Need a laugh??

So, I was strolling through Barnes & Noble yesterday hoping to find this book and this book. I found neither, but ended up with a couple Christmas gifts. I tried my hardest to make it to the checkout line with only my gifts, but HAD to stop and sneak a peek at this book when I saw the cover. I am not a die hard Chelsea Handler fan, but do watch her show on occassion with Hubby and most always crack up. I read 2 paragraphs and was laughing out loud in the store...so it was a must have. Also, I am not really a big "book reader". My reads are usually magazines or required educational readings. That just goes to show you how hilarious it is! Her sense of humor really reminds me of my good friend from The "C" Chronicles (hopefully, she takes that as a compliment). Anyhow, I am only thru the fourth chapter but it is hilarious. If you are in need of a good laugh this will cure ya.
This evening as Hubby was reading bedtime stories to LnL, I sat watching the eerie sky from the storms we had today. All of the sudden the sun peeped thru! I thought to myself...geez...I wonder where the rainbow is. The strangest thing happened next...it appeared right before my eyes! I love rainbows and am always amazed when I rarely see them (Hubby thinks its weird). The pic isn't the best...but it's proof.
After taking the rainbow pic, I happened to notice these Mourning Doves (p.s. I always thought it was MORNING doves until I Googled) on my neighbors roof. By the way, the reason I Googled was because I had heard that they usually mate for life and I wanted to confirm this notion.I thought they were SO cute. I couldn't tell if they were mother/child or husband/wife. I'm leaning towards mother/child after my recent research and findings.

Blog stalker??

Okay...are you considered a stalker if you randomly view a blog but do not comment??? If so, I am a huge stalker. Sometimes I DO comment, but other times my lazy fingers just don't feel up to it! I really do love reading other people's blogs! Just as much as I am addicted to reality TV. (can you believe I watched Tori & Dean for 2 hrs. the other night....even though I had a crapload of stuff to do). As a blogger myself, I do SO love to see a new comment! I have noticed that most people do not comment unless they are a blogger...or unless they are my husband and know how much I love them.

I don't even know how I get into this blog trance. Tonight I sat down at the computer to quickly check e-mail (hubby's working nights). All of the sudden I was clicking on a twin link through an e-mail. Then, I was looking at Twin blogs. Next thing you know I'm cracking up at the I Got Two, Babe blog. (check it out) As reading her blog... she had a thank you post that read "Even if you just lurk. You are awesome". Aww...that makes me feel better.

I don't think I have ever stalked anyone in my life...except for maybe this guy. Knitterella, I cropped you outta this one for your sake! :-)

So, I guess I am a self-proclaimed blog stalker. I think I will work on leaving more comments...

School's OUT 4 summer!

In honor of summer vacation, I thought I would post this little comic for teachers. Too bad my students don't always think of me as their most favorite, best teacher! Anyhow, it is true, yesterday was my last day of school!! I still have a couple things to wrap on Monday but after that I am FREE!
As you read last week, my computer had a horrible virus!! After some remote accessing from a McAfee virus agent, and 65 bucks later, it is fixed! We have McAfee virus protection and have never contracted a virus w/out Mcafee stopping it! This one meant business. I believe the virus came from playlist.com .....SO BEWARE. I have used that website a ton, but this time I was searching for a rather odd song and didn't even look at the link...DUH!
There are so many things to blog about from the past week that I will just wrap it up into a bulleted list:
  • LK pooped on the potty!!! (one time deal)
  • Took the kids to a local children's zoo...they had lots of fun!
  • Our yard has been dug up and is completely dirt until the sod is laid this coming Monday
  • LK fell off a bike and needed her first band-aid. She held up her pointer finger like she was singing "This Little Light of Mine" for about 3 hours.
  • LJ is learning how to dribble and shoots some SERIOUS hoops
  • My friend from The Barron Blog had her twins!!
  • Had my teaching position bid...will be teaching full time in the high school next year (lots of video editing, one drama, and one computer class)
  • Found out I will be an AUNT again sometime in December!! :-)
  • LK can count to ten
  • LK can sings ABC's to letter G on her own
  • LJ says almost all of his animal sounds
  • LK is addicted to raisins and coloring
  • LJ is addicted to balls and duck decoys
  • LJ was given a real baseball to add to his collection from Uncle Rob...it was glued to his fingers today for about 6 hours straight, nap and all.
  • I think I should have highlighted any virus software for last Monday's edition of Merchandise Monday :-)

* Will post pictures throughout the week of the happenings I could not share*

Brrrr...

Yes I know we live in Michigan, but Mother Nature needs to get it together. Our temps were in the low 50's all day!!

Here we are at the park a month ago in shorts and tees...go figure!

***On a side note...so happy for my father today. He was asked to escort the retired vets on the "Honor Flight" today. I hope he is having the time of his life!! ***

Welcome Spring!!

YAY!! Spring is finally here! Although, it sure didn't feel like Spring today...I can see the light at the end of this LONG, COLD, SNOWY WINTER! I dug up some pictures from last Spring just to excite me a bit more. Take me to the playground...I'm ready! Mostly, I am so ready to get these toddlers out and about. I can't wait to just go out in the backyard and let em' run around! Last Spring/Summer was so fun w/the babes, but I have a feeling this year is really going to be a blast! Happy Spring ALL!
