As I was browsing through some of my fave blogs, I happened across a great idea from Zakka Life! How clever!

Dinner Delight!

Every night, after dinner, LJ takes his socks off the moment his tray is taken off the high chair. Of course LK follows, and this has now become a daily ritual. Socks are thrown on the floor along with corn kernels or whatever else found a home there throughout the meal. Then my 2 precious babes amuse the other to no end by mimicking each other's sounds, screams, and actions. It is quite amusing!! Tonight they laughed so hard at each other making sounds with their hands and mouth. We always bring LJ's chair right next to LK. Sometimes they will put food they don't want on the others' tray! Even though dinnertime can be quite frustrating since they don't always eat their food, it is also one of my favorite times with them.

Working with discipline BIG time(hitting, biting, throwing hard objects). Starting to show empathy: takes LK's paci, blankie, drinks to her.

LK- SO many words. Can say all the names of kids/dog at daycare. Repeats almost every word. Loves to look out the window. Can't stand the sun in her eyes. Still in love w/Elmo.

My First Layout!

As you may remember, one of my goals is to start digital scrapping. Well, I finished my first layout with thanks to the Pickleberrypop Startup Pack ! I truly love to scrapbook, but haven't touched one of my supplies (which I spent hundreds on) since the babies have been born! It is just too difficult for me to take that time right now. Digital is great for me for many reasons, but mostly because I can stop working on my layout whenever I wish and just SAVE!

This was a super simple tutorial that came with instructions for many programs. I have Photoshop Elements 5 and am pretty familiar with it. This layout took me no more than 10 minutes...no kidding. I am in LOVE! Keep your eyes peeled for layouts upon layouts...hope I don't bore you!

First Fabric Flowers

So,here is what I have been working on lately...
These fabric flowers were fun to make for my hair clips! I actually used the fabric flower tutorial from wise craft. Then, I picked up some of those button kits from a local craft store. I never realized how easy it is to cover buttons! Hopefully, I can snap a picture of LK wearing one of these and you can get the full effect.

The many words for your "hiney"

As many of you know, LK's vocabulary is growing by many words daily. She can basically repeat any word that you say to her. So, this morning as I was cuddling with my lil' guy she came over and pointed to his rear and said "butt", "butt". This is funny because Hubby and I had just gotten into a discussion on what is the proper word for "butt"??? I am always telling LK and LJ to sit on their "butts" when they are doing something dangerous (like balancing on one of their wheeled vehicle seats). Yesterday I mentioned that maybe we should start using the word bum or hiney. Hubby said no. "We are not from England", he said..."and plus we haven't been using those words all along". "How about bottom?" I ask. Nope. "How about rear?" Nope. So, in conclusion, we will continue to use the word butt and so will our children. I hope no one is offended by this...Hubby assures me they won't be.

Hi blog world! I have been sick with pneumonia of all things! I can't remember the last time I was this sick, nor the last time I have taken this much time off of work! Please send me healing thoughts!!

More importantly, we welcomed a new addition to our family this morning. We have a new nephew!! So VERY excited to welcome Cooper Nolan into the family and we can't wait to meet him! He was a pretty big boy at 8lbs. 5oz., 20 inches long. When I get a pic, I will post it!

Happy Valentine's Day

While looking for an image to post for Valentine's Day...I ran across this one. What better picture to portray love than brand new baby footprints on daddy's arms? This is one of my absolute favorite pictures. If you were to see the whole picture you would see that Hubby's face is priceless and you can still see leftover tears of joy. OMG...it melts my heart looking at this picture. I can't believe how tiny their feet were either!!

Yesterday's doc appt. went well! LJ and LK both weigh around 23 lbs. They are both fairly tall...LK was ranging in the 85th percentile for height. Doc said expect their weight to plateau for awhile since they are doing so much running around. Only one shot yesterday thank goodness! I am big worrier when it comes to the amount of vacinnes they do at one time. We also received a brochure on potty training which freaked me out b/c we haven't even started to think about it! Guess it's time to buy some potty seats.

Winter....I'm OVER It!

Our snow days are maxed out and the snow is still coming down. Any more days off from school and we will have to make up the time. I'm officially over it and ready for Spring (my favorite season!!!). I can already see the daffodils and tulips in my head. Oh...and isn't it funny how we get our flip flops and shorts out the minute it hits 65°? Okay...we have a long way to go still and this is just torture thinking about it-sorry for that ramble.

Hubby (still looking for alias) and I went out to dinner tonight for Valentine's Day. He is working the next 5 nights in a row so today was our only time to celebrate. We went to Logan's Steakhouse and both had some great steaks. I was really trying to save room for one of the mini-dessert buckets (like my thighs and ass really need it), but both of us were stuffed.

Afterwards, he took me over to Best Buy to pick out my Valentine's gift...which we had already decided over dinner would be a DVD-writer!!! He got me a Sony Handycam a year ago for Christmas and I haven't really had a chance to make any DVD's. I can't wait to get to work editing all the video I have taken...embarrassed to say it is all sitting on the hard drive of the camera. We have the Photoshop Elements/Premiere bundle software so I can finally load and use the Premiere as well. YAY! He doesn't get his gift until V-day and I cannot comment on that b/c he reads this blog from time to time.

Remember my blog prize that I won from Ms. Erica? Well, they turned out super cute! Just sent them in the mail today so I am not sure if they will make it to mailboxes in time but-Oh Well! Not like I am on time for anything else in my life!

Tomorrow we head to the doctor for check-ups from massive double ear infections 3 wks ago and also some shots. I'll post with details and updates tomorrow!

Hubby A.K.A. ?????

Okay...so if you check out the comments on my last blog you will see that "LK" has posted a comment asking that I do not call my husband "hubby" on my blog any longer. So...I am looking for any suggestions as to what I should refer to him by...right now I am thinking idiot or something along those lines?? I guess I could just call him EG...but that is so boring.

SO excited that I won my first blog contest!! As you can see, I have been working on updating my blog links for the past couple weeks. Well, Ms. W. from Haphazard Happenstances was giving away the adorable little Valentine's cards pictured above and I WON!!! So, now I just have to get a good shot of LnL tomorrow and send it in. Thank you Ms. W!!!

Also, I must comment on some other blogs that I have linked. A few will give you daily recipes, which I am pretty excited about. Many are moms that blog about fashion, crafts, cooking, etc. Also, I have some scrapbooking and general craft blogs. Oh-- and a specific section for my friends that blog--would love for that list to grow a bit. By the way, Rockstar Mommy cracks my shit up. Check out that blog in haven't yet! Also, addicted to Celebrity Baby Blog!

We are currently under a winter storm warning until 1 a.m. and the conditions are absolutely horrible! I was out last at 4 this afternoon and it was white knuckles the whole way home. Drive safe everyone in the area...but try not to drive at all! Snow day tomorrow???

LK - She started pointing to her chest and saying "mine" today. Oh NO!! She constantly points to the window and says "no" leaving out the s in Snow. SO cute. Her vocabulary is absolutely amazing us every day!

LJ - Climbing on all the furniture and in love with the telephone. He has always loved phones, but it is hilarious to hear him babble into the phone or run to the home phone when it rings. Still saying the same old words..but catching on a bit more. I think he said shoes today.

Thank my lucky TWO!

I just finished watching Jon & Kate plus 8 for the very first time. I had heard about it, but never sat down at quite the right time to catch it...until tonight. So, basically this couple had a set of twins and then had a set of sextuplets. Watching this show I just kept thinking Holy Shit! After watching this show, I felt guilty for ever complaining about life with my multiples. Piece of cake compared to this lady! The kids sure are cute, though! I feel a lil' bad for the dad...he really gets ordered around. I guess that's just how they work. You have to have a system and they definitely do. I am still in shock.

On to the Super Bowl. As I sat alone with the babies in bed and hubby at work, I was SO excited for the Giants win!! I am always rooting for the underdog. That last quarter was, by far, the best football I have seen in a long time. I thought for sure Eli was sacked before that awesome pass to David Tyree; it was absolutely amazing. Very exciting and I don't feel bad for the Patriots at all!! You can't let it get to your head and I think that is what they did.

As for commercials...I wasn't impressed. Except for one...as a Will Ferrell fan I was laughing out loud. If you missed it...check it out here

Little Things

Today hubby came home with a little gift for me...the Sara Bareilles cd! He heard me say that I wanted it and picked it up for me as a surprise. I LOVE SURPRISES! So, that is what is playing in my CD player. It is good music to just chill and relax with. Other cd's I have been wanting to add to my collection lately include Carrie Underwood(just because I like that song All American Girl) and Natasha Bedingfield.

Hubby also gets props for doing a ton of laundry in the past few days (I didn't even ask)...little things like this remind me that I married a really great guy.

Latest with LnL

LK is surprising us everyday with how well she understands us and listens. Now we really have to start watching our words!!! She is all about giving "big hugs" lately and I am in Heaven!

LJ is constantly watching his sis and mimicking what she does. Sometimes this is good and other times it is very bad! He is still throwing food---AAAGGHH!
